    Hi,
    I’m Patty in Grove City Ohio. Haven’t done any fermenting yet but I’m ready to try. My first venture, tomorrow,will be red cabbage. I haven’t decided if I want to lacto-ferment or use a culture. I’ll be back to let you know if I’m successful!

    Hi Patty, welcome to the world of fermenting. I’ve never tried adding a culture to any of the sauerkrauts I have made, and everything seems to work out fine. Why are you considering adding a culture? Is there a particular benefit?
