    My 28-day old baby carrots ferment has a pickle pipe airlock on top. Should I remove that airlock before transferring the jar to the refrigerator? Is there any concern about a pressure build-up with a completely sealed jar top in place of the pickle pipe?



    No real worries in my experience with a sealed jar of fermented food once it is in the refrigerator. I’d recommend fully sealing your ferment with a cap when refrigerating.
